I am so far behind. I have yet to post about one of my creations for Philly which was in May! The challenge was for all the doll artists to make a bear and for all the bear artists to make a doll. I have had this idea in my head for a long, long time and have not had the time or excuse to make her. Meet Lotta Mehem. She is needlefelted over an armature. She is fully poseable. Everything from her hands to her toes will bend. Her head is moveable. She is natural tea dyed mohair with glass eyes. Her dress is tea dyed tattered cotton.

Featured in Teddy Bear and Friends!
I just got my latest TB&F and was certainly surprised to find one of my pieces in it! The Newlydeads was my signature piece at the Philadelphia Teddy Bear and Doll Convention. It was purchased by the Quinlan Teddy Bear Museum. There was an article on the show and the Quinlans in Teddy Bear and Friends and they featured the bears that they bought at the show!

Hats, hats, hats!
TBAI was so much fun. I think the best part of it was the "Mad Hatter's Teaparty". Here are some of the hats that were worn. I won't detail the names of the artists & collectors because as you can see everyone got in the spirit of Alice in Wonderland!
